Courtney has over ten years’ experience in conducting workplace investigations and managing complaints for public and private sector entities across Australia.

A lawyer by training, Courtney has a key ability to analyse complex information to produce thorough reports that are comprehensive and easy to understand, and make findings that are sound and evidence-based.

Having commenced her career on the ‘frontline’ in Child Safety, Courtney has developed her expertise and ability to conduct interviews with sensitivity and professionalism, whilst managing emotions in difficult situations. Drawing on this experience, Courtney has an adaptable and human-centered approach to interviewing which is designed to elicit the most relevant information whilst taking care to appropriately manage sensitivities and facilitate participation.

Courtney has a proven track record of conducting thorough and impartial investigations into a wide range of sensitive matters, including allegations of bullying, harassment, sexual harassment, breaches of code of conduct and policies, public interest disclosures, corrupt conduct, and historic sexual abuse. Her expertise in these areas has been instrumental in ensuring reliable and safe outcomes.

Courtney has extensive experience in conducting corrupt conduct assessments and investigations, having worked at Queensland’s Crime and Corruption Commission for five years.

Courtney is also highly skilled at conducting reviews, including Administrative Action Reviews, Internal Reviews and Cultural Reviews, and making findings and recommendations to inform organisational improvements.

  • Bachelor of Laws, Queensland University of Technology
  • Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, Queensland University of Technology
  • Bachelor of Behavioural Science, Griffith University
  • Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice, Griffith University
  • Certificate IV in Government Investigations, Australian Security Academy
  • Certificate III in Investigative Services, Australian Security Academy
